What Is Biotin?

Biotin (Vitamin B7) is a water-soluble vitamin that helps the body convert food into energy. It acts as a coenzyme in several metabolic pathways, supporting the breakdown of fats, proteins, and carbohydrates. Biotin is essential for the production of keratin, which benefits hair, skin, and nails. It also plays a role in maintaining healthy nerve and cellular function.

Why does the body need this vitamin?

Biotin is vital for energy production, helping the body transform nutrients into usable fuel. It also supports the structure of hair, skin, and nails by promoting keratin formation and assisting in cellular repair. This vitamin contributes to nerve health and aids in tissue regeneration. Its broad metabolic role makes it important for overall wellness.

Modern diets, stress, and certain lifestyle factors can impact biotin levels, making supplementation beneficial for many people. Regular replenishment is important since the body does not store large amounts of biotin. Those seeking to enhance their appearance or energy may find added support from this nutrient. Consider discussing your needs with a wellness professional to see if biotin is right for you.

Wow, what a top-notch experience. From the moment I walked in the door to getting my IV, slipping into the compression leggings, and topping it off with a red-light session—everything was seamless. The space is bright, clean, and professional, yet still incredibly relaxing with a spa-like feel. Dana, the nurse, was fantastic and made the whole experience so pleasant. Many thanks, Drip Bar!

I went to the DRIPBaR when I was on day four of having the Flu and they were all hands on deck to get me feeling better! Everyone was beyond friendly and so happy to help. The facility is incredibly clean and tidy and they have a large variety of offerings including red light therapy. I felt better almost immediately and even better the following day. Prices may seem high but when you’re super sick and don’t have time to be, it’s worth it IMO.
