Did you know?

Alzheimer’s is the most common cause of dementia, accounting for up to 80% of cases.

Understanding Alzheimer's & Dementia

Alzheimer’s & Dementia refer to a group of progressive neurological disorders that affect memory, thinking, and behavior. These conditions are marked by the buildup of abnormal proteins in the brain, leading to disrupted communication between nerve cells and eventual brain tissue loss. Over time, individuals may experience increasing difficulty with daily tasks, language, and recognizing loved ones. The progression and symptoms can vary, but the impact on independence is significant.

Common triggers include advanced age, genetic factors, cardiovascular issues, and chronic inflammation. Managing these conditions often involves a combination of medication, lifestyle changes, and supportive therapies. Early recognition of symptoms can help families plan and seek appropriate care. Staying engaged socially and mentally may also play a role in slowing progression.

Symptoms of Alzheimer's & Dementia

Early symptoms of Alzheimer’s & Dementia often involve mild forgetfulness, difficulty finding words, and challenges with problem-solving. These changes may be subtle at first and can be mistaken for normal aging. Over time, individuals may struggle with complex tasks or become easily confused. Family members may notice changes in mood or personality as well.

As the condition progresses, symptoms can include severe disorientation, trouble recognizing familiar people, and increased language difficulties. Impaired judgment and decision-making are also common, sometimes leading to unsafe situations. Some individuals may become withdrawn or experience agitation and anxiety. Loss of independence becomes more pronounced in later stages.

Advanced dementia may result in a complete inability to care for oneself, requiring continuous support. Physical symptoms such as difficulty walking, swallowing, or controlling movements can develop. Sleep disturbances and changes in appetite are frequent. Caregiver stress is a significant concern as the need for assistance increases.

Traditional Treatments

While there is no cure for Alzheimer's & Dementia, treatment focuses on slowing progression and improving quality of life. Medications such as cholinesterase inhibitors and memantine are commonly prescribed to help manage cognitive symptoms. Behavioral therapies and environmental adjustments can support independence and reduce agitation. Supportive care for sleep, mood, and anxiety is often part of a comprehensive plan.

Lifestyle interventions, including a brain-healthy diet, regular exercise, and mental stimulation, are encouraged. Social engagement and structured routines may help maintain function and well-being. Caregiver support and education are essential components of long-term management. Each care plan should be tailored to the individual's needs and stage of the condition.

How IV Therapy May Help

Many expect only traditional treatments for cognitive decline, but supportive therapies can play a valuable role. IV nutrient infusions offer a way to deliver targeted vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants directly into the bloodstream, supporting brain health and cellular energy. This approach may help reduce oxidative stress and promote hydration, which are important factors in neurological wellness. While not a cure, these therapies can complement existing care and provide an added layer of support.

Some individuals notice gradual improvements in mental clarity and energy with consistent sessions, while others appreciate the proactive approach to wellness. The DRIPBaR focuses on safe, supervised care tailored to each person's needs. Our services are designed to fit into a broader wellness plan, supporting both individuals and caregivers. Exploring these options can help you make informed choices for long-term cognitive health.

Nutrient Support for Brain Wellness

Specialized infusions can help deliver key nutrients that support brain function and cognitive clarity. These offerings are designed to promote neurological health and reduce oxidative stress. Regular sessions may assist in maintaining mental sharpness and overall wellness.

NAD+

Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NAD) is essential for cellular energy production and DNA repair. Its levels decline with age and stress, affecting vitality and cognitive clarity. This infusion delivers NAD directly into the bloodstream for rapid absorption and mitochondrial support. It also helps reduce oxidative damage and supports neurological health. The therapy is administered by licensed nurses and tailored to individual wellness goals. It may benefit adults seeking improved energy, focus, and resilience. Results vary based on personal health and treatment plans.

Nicotinamide Riboside (NR)

Nicotinamide Riboside (NR) is a specialized form of Vitamin B3 delivered intravenously to enhance cellular energy production and metabolic function. By increasing NAD+ levels, it supports mitochondrial health and DNA repair processes. This therapy helps improve mental clarity, reduce fatigue, and protect cells from oxidative damage. It is designed for adults seeking to optimize energy and support healthy aging. The treatment is administered by licensed nurses in a comfortable setting. Wow, what a top-notch experience. From the moment I walked in the door to getting my IV, slipping into the compression leggings, and topping it off with a red-light session—everything was seamless. The space is bright, clean, and professional, yet still incredibly relaxing with a spa-like feel. Dana, the nurse, was fantastic and made the whole experience so pleasant. Many thanks, Drip Bar!

I went to the DRIPBaR when I was on day four of having the Flu and they were all hands on deck to get me feeling better! Everyone was beyond friendly and so happy to help. The facility is incredibly clean and tidy and they have a large variety of offerings including red light therapy. I felt better almost immediately and even better the following day. Prices may seem high but when you’re super sick and don’t have time to be, it’s worth it IMO.
